Each year has the same number of days in it, (allowing for simple adjustments). To deny this would not be so smart. But no one could say with absolute certainty if the day is going to be sunny or wet. No one can guess if there is going to be all-around wealth or pestilence. What is predictable is that people are not going to embrace change easily. That we want the upper hand. All the time. Short-term advantage attracts us more than long-term sustainability. I and many like me cannot imagine myriad things and this might be a problem. I observe that some folks don’t imagine too much while a handful do it to excess. These over-imagining seem to have no practical effects in mind with the exception of the visualizing itself. And those who do this are called dreamers and this is said in a very bad manner. It is often said that the limit to what one can achieve is imagination. Can this be true? If it is then, I would tend to believe that having an active imagination would be a good thing. I hear people say, “be realistic”. Is this a wise saying? Or, something dense and somehow negative? would it put a limit on one can do in life? I would like to think that there is no limit to one’s potential and that the limits imposed are stupid and unnatural. Life after all, is boundless and should never be arbitrarily curtailed. At least, as far as I can see. A person will only change when there is no other alternative but change. Dictators hardly ever step down. They are removed forcibly.
